There was nothing that Zina planted that didn’t grow, she walked around her home and gave it such loving care,and was the same way w/her friends that still live here, door always open to everyone including animals. I will miss my supervisor more than I can say.Sending condolences and hugs to all

The day I got to meet her and finaly try a dish of traditional Borstch Zina had rstarted preparing before the sun even thought of rising that morning. It was perfect

I met her December 28th 2016
I was lucky enough to endulge in a delishious bowl of Zina's Borstch that she had started making before the sun rose that day. This was not only my first true Ukrainian dish but also the first time I had ever eating a radish! This was an unbelievably special moment for me. I was greatful to directly connect with my Ukrainian roots while I sit awashed in comfort while I listened to her speak a familiar sounding language I honestly have no knowledge of, that left me feeling so at home. I couldn't stop smiling. I wanted to ask so many questions but I was just so overwhelmed with gratitude that I was also able to share this experience withy Aunt Oxana, Aunt Marlene, Uncle Larry and Cousin Amanda. That memory will forever hold a special place in my heart. May we all live that much more for her now that she moves on from this existence. My heart is with you all. Blessed be Zina xoxo
