Martha Fish

Obituary of Martha B. Fish

Martha “Bobbie” Byers Fish of West Deptford, NJ died Monday July 8, in the comfort of her home.  Born in Wilkes Barre, PA on August 6, 1926 to Joshua C. Byers and Dorothy E. Byers. Married for 62 years to Donald George Fish, and loving mother to Carol A. Karlesses and Steven B. Fish.  Proud grandmother of Brian Fish, Joseph Fish, Leah Henton, and Zach Karlesses. Extremely proud great-grandmother of Lilia and Charlee Fish.

Bobbie deeply loved her family and was an optimist at heart.  She appreciated nature, loved spending time in her garden, and taking care of the plants in her sunroom.  In addition to her love for nature, she had a special place in her heart for all animals. As a homemaker, Bobbie was extremely creative and truly enjoyed preparing for the holidays and hosting her family.  Her favorite time was spent with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and she especially loved watching them grow. Bobbie wrote poems as a creative outlet, and also enjoyed writing and sending cards.  One of her favorite things to do was to laugh, and sometimes she would laugh so hard that she couldn’t even get the story out. Bobbie will be remembered and appreciated as a positive, funny spirit who loved her family to the fullest and appreciated the little things in life.

Donations to Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge, 974 Lockville Rd., Dallas, PA 18612 would be appreciated in lieu of flowers.

Services for Bobbie will be held privately.
