We are so devastated by this news. We are here in Florida & was not able to be there. I am the sister of Spero Chamar & remember everyone so well when living in Phila. Joanne, Will and Anthony (fondly known to his dad as midget) I am so very sorry you lost your husband, dad and best friend. Ray was like my brother growing up in Hoot Owl and his family a close second to mine. I have many, many, many fond memories that I will hold in my heart forever. This morning I heard "Running With The Devil" and "Born To Run" in my ear buds back to back. Two songs from moments with Ray I have crystalized in my mind. Both songs were songs that were blasting on his 8 track (remember those) in the Baracuda. We were cruising in Deerbrook with our mutal friend, Keith Lamm for VH and our way down the shore in the Cuda with Bruce. Strange how these moments in time just freeze in our heads. Hearing those songs back to back were a sign to me that Big Ray has made it "to the otherside" wherever that side might be. Just a couple memories of thousands we have shared. I will miss you old friend and love you forever.

Joanne, Will and Anthony,
We are so devastated over the loss of Ray. It was quite evident of how proud he was of his boys and how much he loved his family. His passion for coaching left a lasting impact on so many athletes whose lives he encountered on and off the playing field. Ray's personality was larger than life and he always found a way to make you laugh. We can't believe Ray is gone and we are going to miss him dearly. We are thankful to be a part of the Pasold "family" and to have Ray coach and cheer on our boys throughout their athletic careers. Nick hopes to continue to make Ray proud of him in all that he does. We pray that you all find comfort in knowing Ray was loved and appreciated by so many. We are deeply sorry for your tremendous loss.
