Obituary of Dr. Surinder Sethi

Dr. Surinder Singh Sethi passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at age 67.  He was a loving husband, caring father, dedicated son, and devoted brother.  As an empathetic and dedicated physician, he spent countless hours caring for and touching the lives of thousands of patients.  He also mentored many medical professionals in their training.  He was very active in the community, instrumental in the start of the first Gurudwara (Sikh Temple) in southern New Jersey (Deptford).  He had an unbridled zest for life and was happiest in the service of others.

He was predeceased by his father Gurbachan Singh Sethi.  He is survived by his mother Amar Kaur Sethi, his brother Dawinder Singh Sethi, his sister-in-law Jasbir Kaur Sethi, his wife Gulmohan Kaur Sethi, 3 children, Sanjum Singh Sethi, Magan Kaur Zavislak, and Tejan Kaur Sethi along with one son in law Joseph John Zavislak III. 

Sikh viewing and cremation will be held on Friday August 16, 2019 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the Leroy P. Wooster Funeral Home and Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ with services to follow at Sikh Gurudwara Pine Hill, 1110 Blackwood Clementon Road, Pine Hill, NJ.  Memorial Service with Paath Bhog will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2019 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at Sikh Gurudwara Pine Hill
