Obituary of Frances M. Propst

Frances, “Fran” M. Propst, (nee Abramek), age 75, of Atco NJ passed away on Friday, September 13, 2019.  Beloved wife of 43 years of Ronald Propst.  Loving mother of Richard Regn, Michele (late Robert) Azar, Daniele Regn, and the late Michael Regn.  Proud grandmother of 8 and great-grandmother of 9.  Dear sister of Michael Abramek, Joanne Finucane, Phyllis Abramek, and Robert (Annette) Abramek.  She is also survived and will be sadly missed by her goddaughters Jean, Dawn, and Deana, special niece Debbie, best friend Arlene, and many other nieces and nephews.

Fran was born in Philadelphia PA and had resided most of her life in Atco since 1945.  She met her husband, Ron, on a blind date and for six years lived in Vineland until the permanent move back to Atco in 1979.

In her younger years, Frannie was an avid bingo player, enjoyed cross-stitched and an exceptional seamstress.  Among the clothing she made were prom, bridesmaid and wedding dresses to the delight of the wearer.  She enjoyed traveling and was able to achieve her dream of stepping foot in all states of our country except Hawaii and Alaska… Ocean to Ocean – Border to Border.

For a time, she enjoyed hosting computer games where she grew an on-line following of friends.

Fran was considered a dependable, reliable and hard-working woman who worked for production line companies such as RCA Records and Decora.  She also owned her own janitorial business, AM-PM Janitorial, for a decade.  But the job she enjoyed the most, and had performed in the last 19 years, was bus driving.  The children she drove while employed with Hillman’s Bus Service made getting up at 5:00 am worthwhile.

Fran was the matriarch of the family and was always honored when someone would come to her for advice or to just chit-chat.  She had no fllter and always said it how she saw it, but you always knew and felt the love she had for her family and friends.  She surely left an impression wherever she went or with whomever she met.

Cremation will be held privately.  Condolences may be shared at www.lpwoosterfuneralhome.com

A memorial service will be planned at a future date.
