Obituary of Sean Joseph Kernan

Sean J. Kernan age 33yrs. of Stratford, NJ passed away suddenly on September 29, 2019.

Sean is survived by his mother & father, Patricia & Stanley Kernan of Stratford, his daughter, Kenley Kernan, his brothers, Kevin Kernan (Gina), Brian Kernan and his sister, Kathleen Kernan.

Sean was a graduate of Sterling High School Class of 2004.  He then graduated from Rutgers University Class of 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics.  

Sean was an avid Philadelphia sports fan.  He played soccer for 13 years on club and school teams.  He also enjoyed going to the gym and working out.

Sean was a loving, attentive father to Kenley Kernan.  A few of his favorite things to do with her included trips to the beach, watching Trolls endlessly, and swimming in the family pool. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish/St. Luke’s Church, 55 Warwick Rd., Stratford, NJ. Sean’s family will start greeting visitors at 10:00am. Cremation was private.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Kenley Kernan’s college fund. Checks can be made out to Kenley Kernan or trustee, Kathleen Kernan.
