Obituary of Virginia B. Robinson

Virginia B. Robinson (nee Bunnell) of Atco, NJ (formerly of Nutley, NJ and Cedar Grove, NJ) age 98yrs passed away on October 16, 2019 at the Fountains at Cedar Parke.  Mrs. Robinson is predeceased by her husband, Arthur M. Robinson and her parents, LeRoy & Anna Bunnell.  She is survived by her daughters, Martha Carroll (Larry), Cynthia Snodgrass and Mary Pierce (Greg) along with six grandchildren, John (Christine) Spencer, Pamela (Anthony) Davis, James A. Snodgrass, Amanda E. (Alex) Sousa, Justin M. Carroll and Austin C. Pierce, nine great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.  Virginia is also survived by her three siblings, LeRoy H. Bunnell, Jr., Shirley Engstrom and Lois Wyckoff and many nieces and nephews.

Virginia grew up in Belleville & Glen Ridge, NJ and graduated from Glen Ridge High School in 1939.  She was employed by the Fireman’s Insurance Company in Newark, NJ where she met “Mon”, the love of her life.  They were married on January 30, 1943 and celebrated 63 years of marriage prior to Mon’s death in 2006. She worked for Pilgrim Bank in Pequannock, NJ, retiring in 1996.

She was a member of St. Paul’s Congregational Church in Nutley where she was active in the Youth Ministry & Couples Club for many years.  She was also a member of Community Church in Cedar Grove, NJ.

She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, playing Rummikub, Poker and Bingo. 

Services and interment will be private.
