Obituary of Millie M. Nucera

Millie M. Nucera, age 100, of Philadelphia, PA, passed away peacefully on Monday October 21, 2019.  Millie was predeceased by her dear husband Daniel Nucera, Sr.  Beloved mother of Anthony (the late Pamela) Nucera and the late Daniel Nucera, Jr.  Loving grandmother of Christopher (Valerie) Nucera, Anthony (Mary Jo) Nucera, Lisa (Ed) Newman, and Joey Massi.  Proud great-grandmother of Daniel and Ryan Nucera, and step great-grandmother of Nicholas, Lucas, Jacob, Michael, Brianna, and Timothy.

Millie lived in Philadelphia, PA most of her life, raising and caring for her beloved family.  Millie went to live in Holiday Village East in Mt. Laurel, before moving to the Fountains at Cedar Parke in 2018. 

After the passing of her husband, Millie spent much of her time volunteering and helping others.  Millie could often be found lending a hand at the American Legion in Philadelphia.  While residing at the Fountains, she would gladly help those she encountered throughout the facility. 

Millie’s greatest love was her family and friends.  Always one to have an open door or her kitchen light on for those close to her, Millie enjoyed listening to their stories, or cooking a meal for them.

A memorial mass will be held in Millie’s honor on Monday, October 28, 2019 at 11:00 am at Christ the Redeemer Parish/Assumption Church, 318 Carl Hasselhan Drive, Atco, NJ.  Interment will be held privately.  Millie’s family kindly asks that donations be made in her memory to the Eastern PA Chapter of National Hemophilia Foundation, Victoria Business Center, Suite 227, 1489 Baltimore Pike, Springfield, PA 19064. http://www.hemophiliasupport.org/donate.html
