Obituary of Jason Ryan Sherwood

Jason Ryan Sherwood, age 36, of Atco, NJ, passed away on Monday December 2, 2019. 

Beloved son of Al and Cynthia (nee Cortese) Sherwood.  Loving brother Nicole Gordon, Ashlee (Bobby) Settlemire, and Al (Tonimarie) Sherwood.  Proud uncle of Tyler, Tanner, Trey, Payton, and Jaxson.  Cherished grandson of Norma Sherwood and Agnes Cortese.  He is also survived and will be sadly missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Jason was born in Voorhees, NJ, grew up in Cherry Hill, NJ, before moving to Atco in 2003.  Growing up in Cherry Hill, Jason played baseball with Cherry Hill Atlantic and football with the Voorhees Vikings.  He was a graduate of Cherry Hill East High School, Class of 2002.  After high school, Jason went on to serve in the United States Marine Corps, serving in Iraq.

Jason was a skilled carpenter and craftsman, and enjoyed working with cabinetry.  He worked with his father at Sherwood Home Remodeling, Atco, NJ.  In his free time, Jason enjoyed golfing and snowboarding.  He also enjoyed fishing on the St. Lawrence River in Upstate New York.  Jason was a wonderful uncle to his niece and nephews.  Without hesitation, he would do anything for his family and those he loved.

A viewing for Jason will be held on Thursday December 5, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and again on Friday December 6, 2019 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the Leroy P. Wooster Funeral Home and Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ.  A prayer service will begin at 11:00 am.  Cremation will be held privately.  Condolences may be shared at www.lpwoosterfuneralhome.com.
