Reading about Carolyn brought a great sadness to my heart. She and I were friends in grade school and spent many days (and nights) at each other's house. We called each other's parents "Aunt" and "Uncle" and shared many happy days of our childhoods together. This picture, taken on a class trip in 1960 captures her childhood happiness.
Please accept my sincerest condolences, as well as those of my siblings.
