James Fanz

Obituary of James R. Fanz

I believe in God, the Father almighty, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and life everlasting. Be not afraid. Come follow me and I will give you rest. On Saturday April 21, 2012, Heaven had lit a path for James R. Fanz, Sr. Grace had brought him these 73 years and Grace had lead him home. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death, Amen. Mr. Fanz was born in Atco and had been a resident of Erial for the past 38 years. Jim was kind, loyal and strong. He believed deeply in his faith regularly attending Mass and had been a longtime Parishioner of St. Jude's Church in Blackwood. Jim & his wife Madelin were best friends and loved spending time together, traveling or just enjoy an afternoon sitting on the porch. Mr. Fanz had worked as a Precision Sheet Metal Mechanic for Nordt Precision in Bellmawr for 30 years and had retired in 2004. He enjoyed fishing and was an accomplished water fowl wood carver. He had been a member of the South Jersey Wood Carvers Association for 7 years and served as Treasurer for 5 of them. God, bless the members of my family. Keep them safe, help them live together in harmony and joy; help them to be aware of your presence and to be the bearers of your love. Mr. Fanz is survived by his best friend and loving wife of 44 years Madelin (nee Christensen) Fanz. Jim is the father of Eleanor "Punkin" & her husband Wayne Nielubowicz, James & his wife Lisa Fanz, Jr., Steven & his wife Jennifer Fanz and Kristie Fanz.
