This is such sad news. George was more than just a neighbor, he was family. We called him "Uncle Bill" because when I first saw him outside of our neighborhood setting (when we first moved to Horseshoe Court) I called him Bill by mistake and he never corrected me. The name stuck, and we became great friends.
He will be surely missed but will remain in our thoughts.
Rest in peace, Uncle Bill.
