Obituary of Freda B. Wilson
Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time. Artists manage to say things with colors and shapes that they couldn't say any other way, things they had no words for. Art, like mortality though, consists of drawing the line somewhere. That line was drawn, after 84 years, on Sunday May 13, 2012 at the Courthouse Convalescent Home in Cape May Courthouse where Freda B. Wilson passed away peacefully. Now, for every word we never spoke, we have a tear to cry.
Mrs. Wilson was born in Middle Twp. and had been a lifelong resident of Lower Twp. She worked as a Special Deputy Clerk for 32 years for the Cape May County Court House and was very proud of her career. At home Freda was an artist. She enjoyed painting with acrylics and crafting. Her artistic ability was a gift that would pass to future generations. They say a picture's worth a thousand words. Freda's picture was vivacious, cantankerous and head strong and she will be fondly remembered as loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.
Mrs. Wilson is the widow of her late husband Frederick L. Wilson. She is the mother of the late Frederick L. "Ricky" & his wife Barbara Wilson and Harry McCarthy. Freda is the proud grandmother of Corinne & her husband Scott Westenberger and Deidre McCarthy. She is also survived and will be sadly missed by her only surviving sister Mae Eldridge.
Love's re-union will take place privately at the Tabernacle United Methodist Church where Freda & "Fritz" publicly shared and expressed their love through marriage 58 years ago.
