All our love and prayers to Kris, Steven, Bill, Carol, Matt and Jimmy. I know that Aunt Bert is looking down at all of us with a smile. She was a wonderful aunt with the heart of gold. I will miss her greatly. I loved our time together, our road trips and afternoon lunches. I hope you all know how much she was loved by all of us.

Aunt Bert was always an angel, Now she has her wings. I'll never forget the good times we had together, the wise advice she dispensed, or the many phone conversations the past several years while separated by too many miles. I am sorry I will not be there, but it just isn't possible. She will always have a special place in our hearts.

n paradisum deducant te Angeli; in tuo adventu suscipiant te martyres, et perducant te in civitatem sanctam Ierusalem.
Chorus angelorum te suscipiat, et cum Lazaro quondam paupere æternam habeas requiem.
May angels lead you into paradise; upon your arrival, may the martyrs receive you and lead you to the holy city of Jerusalem.
May the ranks of angels receive you, and with Lazarus, the poor man, may you have eternal rest.

Aunt Bert, you were also very much loved and treasured by your many nieces! I know that when my mother left our family when I was 9, you helped fill the void for me. I remember the letters you wrote me when my father sent me to live with my mother when I was 12. I have so many memories of visiting you and all those boys (and one little girl!). I'm so glad I was able to visit with you on Memorial Day. I will miss you.

The memory I prefer is the time we had just finished doing the mummers strut, when Mr Lucky, the band leader (a former stringband member), gave you a kiss on your cheek... and told you that you had "the mummers strut down Pat"... you were happy and so was I.

I will always appreciate the lily that you put on alter at church for my Lisa Beth along with the lily for Andrew... and then putting them on Sis's grave the following week.
Bert, I have created a "memorial" on Find A Grave for Andrew and linked it to the memorials for you and Nils... so your descendants will know about you and your loved ones.

Aunt Bert will be missed by her Great Nephews as well. When I was a youngster Aunt Bert was at Grandmas house often when we went there. We had many "talks" when I misbehaved, but she was always loving and understanding at the same time which was just what I needed. My memories of heryou will always be fond ones.

Bert, I cannot remember being without your friendship. We were friends from day one, 50 years ago....We have laughed and cried together through each other's lifetime of experiences. There will never be a day that I won't think of you. You are the best friend anyone could ever hope to have. Also, my children's "Aunt Bert", who they love so much - Always there to wipe a tear or make them laugh with you, when they were little. As for me, you inspired and encouraged me when I needed it the most.
You are my hero! Sleep in comfort now. You are a special angel looking after all who love you. Don't forget our date in heaven at the martini bar....We'll wear our Big Red Hats together! I miss you so bad already. You know I will be there for your family when they need Me. Nighty Night for now, my beautiful friend.

Mom, one of the many pictures we like the most in this photo album is you standing in the Pacific Ocean when you visited us in Oregon. That's how we are imagining you, with open arms, smiling. And you're telling your family & friends one of your's & our favorites to comfort us as you always would do...
Smile though your heart is aching...Smile even though it's breaking.
When there are clouds in the sky...you'll get by.
If you smile through your pain and sorrow...Smile and maybe tomorrow...You'll see the sun come shining through for you.
Light up your face with gladness, Hide every trace of sadness. Although a tear may be ever so near...That's the time you must keep on trying...Smile, what's the use of crying. You'll find that life is still worthwhile...If you just smile.
Rest In Peace
Always In Our Hearts
We Love You
