They're the wonderful people we can't do without, Loyal and special, day in and day out. A true friend will listen and help with advice, Kind and amusing, they're just really nice. You're proud of their friendship and value, too, And the best kind of friend, is a friend just like YOU! Love Mommy Rest In Peace Dearest Sandee You have fought the good fight with all your might, now take your rest and sleep on in the arms of Your Saviour whom you loved, believed and cherished with all your heart, mind, body and soul! Judy, Jill, Rachel, Tanya & Kayla Alexandria (affectionately known as Alex or Sandee was diagnosed with asthma from the age of 2 years. Sandee continue to battle severe asthma attacks throughout her childhood and into her adult life. There were countless nights that she had to go to the hospital for oxygen and it was only natural that she became fascinated with medicine. Sandy was an apt student and although she missed many days from school she insisted on getting in all of her assignments and never used her illness as an excuse. She completed high school with excellent grades and immediately went into training as a Registered Nurse. There were many days that she was absent from class and her lecturers never doubted that she had a valid reason for not attending. Out of concern they simply telephoned the A & E Department where she would be getting oxygen as a result of another asthma attack. Upon successful completion of her studies Sandy naturally went to work in the A & E Department of the Princess Margaret Hospital. She was a dedicated and hard working nurse and anyone who knows her can attest to the fact that she was diligent in her work, wonderful with her patients and always wore a smile no matter how trying the circumstances. Sandy worked in The Bahamas Government Service then sat the State Board Examinations to work in the United States. Needless to say she successfully passed her examinations and relocated to Philadelphia to attend Temple University to pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. The second chapter of her life started at Temple University where she was known to all of her friends as Alex. She made friends very easily as she was loving, kind, generous and as warm as the beautiful Bahamas
