Knowing Dottie from church for so many years has been a blessing to me and my family.
There was never a time that when I saw or spoke with her, she would always ask about my family and especially how my daughter Jessica was doing. Due to Jessica's health issues, she told me that she prayed for Jess each and every day, and I know that was the absolute truth.
Going Home to Jesus and others that have gone on before her was something that she told me she was very comfortable with. We who are left here have the sadness left with us.
Much love to her family. I love you Dottie.

Dottie was one of the sweetest women I've ever known! She always asked about me and my family and always let me know she was praying for us. The last time I saw her she was happily munching on a chocolate bar I brought her (we shared a love for chocolate!) But more importantly, we shared a love for our Savior Jesus Christ. For many years she has longed to go home to see HIM and she couldn't wait to see her beloved Charles again. I'm so sorry that the Rappenecker family has lost their precious Mom/Grandmom, but I'm rejoicing that Dottie is safely at HOME in Glory! Until I see her again there, I'll be missing her, too!

Visiting my Aunt Dot and Uncle Charlie was one of the best parts of my annual childhood summer vacation back east. I can still picture all of us in what I think used to be the garage converted into the perfect family gathering space. Family, food, fireworks, and Queenie and Bluebell howling out back. God bless you, Aunt Dot. You were a wonderful aunt.

Hiya Gram! That's how you always said it to us and now that you're with Jesus, I know you are still with us in some ways and I hear you saying it to me as you wave to me. I feel your gentle rocking motion as you rock in your rocking chair (the old one is more prevalent in my memories, not your glider- haha). I am sad and cry every day now, but I am also happy when I get to share with others how special you are and all the stories of your life. You carried out God's work as one of his angels. I hope to follow in your life's footsteps in that regard. Love & kisses, Lori

I have such fond memories of Dottie. To know Dottie was to appreciate her love for family, and their love for her. Dottie truly practiced her faith in love. Although she enjoyed my visits, it was when I brought my granddaughter with me that she just beamed. It gives me a smile to see Andrea now reading the books that Dottie gave her 'to grow into'. May the family be comforted by knowing the smiles she gave to us all. Linda
