Obituary of Carmella A. DeSilvio

Carmella A. DeSilvio (nee DePalma) of Cedar Brook, NJ age 91yrs passed away on Saturday, October 13, 2012 with her loving family by her side, Born in Waterford, NJ, Mrs. DeSilvio was a long time resident of Cedar Brook, NJ and was a dedicated member of the Sacred Heart Church, also in Cedar Brook. Carmella and her late husband Emidio worked together on the farm that they owned. She was known as the "Tomato Queen along with her husband, who was affectionately known as the "Tomato King" Carmella enjoyed spending time in the kitchen and serving the best tomato gravy, spaghetti and meatballs to her family for whom she loved so dearly.. Mrs. DeSilvio was predeceased by her parents, Pasquale and Marie DePalma and her husband Emidio. She will be sadly missed by her Daughter, Carol C. Umosella (Joseph) of Somers Point, her grandchildren, Joe Umosella (Gin-Ann), Sheila Presti (Bob), John Umosella (Kristina), and Jeff Umosella (Jeanene). Her 15 great grandchildren, Angela, Nicole, Desiree, Bobby, Amanda, Dominic, Gabrielle, Danielle, Joanna, Samantha, Gina, Joey, Jeffrey, Jason and Julia and her brother and sister, Nicholas DePalma of Atco and Rafie Rossi of W. Berlin. Relatives and friends are invited to join the DeSilvio family on Wednesday afternoon between 12:00pm and 2:00pm for a viewing at the LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ (856)767-0539. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at the Christ the Redeemer Parish/Sacred Heart Church, Rt. 73 Cedar Brook, NJ. At 3:00pm.
