Obituary of Richard C. Jacob
Jacob, Richard C. "Dick", 76, passed away Monday, October 22nd. He was a graduate of Egg Harbor City High School, majored in Russian Civilization at Dartmouth College, was a Fulbright Scholar, University of Munich and was an intelligence officer during the Cold War with postings in Moscow and Berlin. In later years he was on the editorial staff with publishers McGraw Hill and Time Life; was advertising director - Western Europe for Fortune Magazine and retired from his post at the German-American Chamber of Commerce in New York City in 2003.
He is survived by his sister, Carol Farrell (Michael) of Egg Harbor City, his brother Ned Jacob of Skowhegan, Maine, his niece JoAnn Sabo (Scott) of Galloway, his nephew Jonathan Farrell of Galloway and two great nephews Jacob and Nicholas Sabo of Galloway.
He surrendered his life in the end, like a good servant of the clandestine brotherhood should - without apology or comment.
There will be no services. The family requests that memorial donations may be made to the Pilgrim Academy, PO Box 322, Egg Harbor City, NJ 08215, where his nephews are currently enrolled.
