Obituary of Maxine R Burke

Maxine Burke, 87, of Williamstown, NJ, formerly of Secane, PA went home to be with the Lord on February 17, 2013 surrounded by her family. Born in Sand Springs, OK, she later moved to Delaware County where she met and married the love of her life Gordon Burke. She will be remembered for her love of the Lord, her deep devotion to her family and her amazing desserts! Left behind to miss her are her daughters, Sharon (Ron) Burnett, Susan (Chibueze) Okechukwu, her sister Margaret Jolly and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. To welcome her home in Heaven were her husband Gordon Burke, brother Kenneth Chamblin, sisters Katherine Flatau and Anita Keenen.  A viewing will be held on Thursday, February 21 at the First Baptist Church of Collingdale, 814 Andrews Avenue, Collingdale, PA from 10:00 to 11:00am with a service to follow at 11:00am, burial at Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill, PA.
