Judy, Colleen, and Chris (dear cousins),
Your mother and I spent a lot of time traveling, hanging out, and just having a good time in previous years. During this time we talked a lot about family, our life experiences, etc.. I felt privileged that Aunt Elsie shared so much of this with me. Her optimism in the face of any adversity she faced taught me to be an optimist no matter what. I wanted to write something in "Light a Candle" but she lit a candle for me instead of the other way around.
One of the hardest and most complicated human experiences is the relationship between a parent and a child. In the end it is about the relationship. You all did a good job on this. Aunt Elsie will be missed. Console yourselves with the fact that you made her end years happy. This means more than anybody can realize.

Auntie, I will miss you so much....our trips to the casino, our bingo days, talking on the phone.....but most of all I will really miss your support and love. Don't know what my life would have been like without you. I know the angels sang the day you went home!! (and kept the casino open just for you :-)). Hopefully, I will see you again....save my seat at the bingo hall in Glory.

Aunt Elsie will truly be missed. It's hard to imagine life without her because she was always a part of our lives. She was like grandmother to me. I think I'll miss her laugh the most. She was our energizer bunny with an amazing spirit. Miss you Auntie! Thank you for the great memories!
