Obituary of Dennis Karlis

Earlier this month, at the age of 74, Dennis Karlis of Newfield, NJ joined his much loved predeceased mother, Estelle Jorden Strakes and brothers, Robert,George and Louis Strakes. A native of Brooklyn NY, he had lived the last 50 years in New Jersey. He drove a truck for New Jersey Fireworks Manufacturer for many years. He will be missed by many including life long friend Ronny Shimpp, and close friend, Jilliana Possenti. Remaining relatives include brother, James Strakes, sisters in law, Bertha and Jean Strakes, cousin, Marie Jacobs and nieces, Melody and Teresa as well as nephew, Louis Strakes Jr. and great nephew, John Louis Strakes Lopez. Services for Dennis have been postponed until late August when all family members will be able to attend. The services will take place at the family grave site in Elwood NJ.
