Obituary of Martin S. Nilsen

Martin S. Nilsen On August 13, 2005, of Bellmawr (formerly of Audubon) NJ, age 79 yrs., passed on to his eternal life to join his mother (Mary) and his father (Oluf), his brothers, Lars and Ben and his sister, Regina. He is survived by his ex-wife, Marie Nilsen (nee Clancy) of Bellmawr, his 8 children; Daughters, Terry Sweeney (Jerry Carter) of Bellmawr, Jan Nilsen of Clementon, Pat Connors of Toms River; Sons, Steve, Ed (Stephanie) and Tom (Carol) all of Bellmawr, Martin (Eileen) of Alabama and Joe (Beverly) of Deptford. He is also survived by his 9 grandchildren, Frank, Coleen (Ackley), Michael, Michelle, Nick, Christopher, Logan, Madison and Kaitlyn and many nieces and nephews. Martin was a World War II Veteran. He was retired from Owens-Corning Fiberglass. He drove a bus for Holloway Bus Company and retired Haddon Township School district. He was a member of the VFW #9563 of Bellmawr and was also an avid fisherman. Martins wishes were that his remains be cremated. There will be a graveside Memorial Service on Wednesday, 11:00am at the Berlin Cemetery, Berlin, NJ where he will be placed with his parents. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to The Hospice of Moorestown, 10 E. Stow Rd., Suite 100, Marlton, NJ 08053.
