I appreciated getting to know more about Mary through this wonderfully written obituary! Thank you! Never would I have imagined Mary as a violin, organ, or ukulele player! Her volunteering at the hospital and entertaining at senior homes makes her a special person to be remembered. I am happy to have known Mary and will remember her distinctive laugh.

Mommom Mary,
I will miss you. You always made me laugh with your outlook on life. You never gave yourself any credit for anything; but you lived a pretty spectacular life. Even look at your life after Poppop died...you hadn't even driven a car or balanced a checkbook in years and years! Well, I think you did pretty darn good for yourself....still playing the organ, doing creative memories for awhile, being around the family whenever we came home, going to Dad's concerts, participating in card games and board games. You always had a special sense of humor. I still remember the grilled cheese sandwiches; egg and bacon breakfasts that you would make me when I visited you in Venice, FL with Kevin Gully. I still remember how you could beat me in shuffleboard when I was visiting you; and I especially remember your style of how you would beat me! You were a great-grandmother and a "great" grandmother. You and Poppop did a great job of being good role models for me...married for 60 years and always keeping humor in your relationship. I'm sorry I never cut my long hair for you; but I always looked forward to you saying something about it! :) Thank you for always accepting me for who I was. I will miss you so much Mommom. I love you for always. I know you are in heaven with Poppop. Love, Sam

Although I did not personally know Mary, her life has been one of great accomplishments and love for her family.
She is an inspiration to those of us who remain.
May God bless her family and help them through the loss of such a wonderful Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother....

I "knew" Mary only from her daughter Peg....but knowing what a wonderful person Peg is, I can guess at Mary's virtues and her great influence on Peg and all her family over the many decades. I'm happy that the family was with her as she left us. I know she had feared being alone, so the togetherness was a blessing for all. She lived a good long life, and now truly knows peace and rest. My heart goes out to Peg and Mitch and the kids and grandkids and all who knew and loved Mary. Her spirit lives on in oh so many ways.
