For Rich's family, please accept my deepest sympathies for your loss. I always enjoyed talking with Rich in Workers' Compensation Court. He was always smiling and upbeat. But most importantly, he was so proud of his children. I will never forget when he announced in the judge's chambers that his daughter made the cast of an opera. Again, my condolences.

Since hearing about Rich, we have been reliving many memories of our younger days. Shore trips, buying houses together, celebrating with champagne in the dark on our lots to name just a few. But we will especially remember him singing at our wedding. He definitely had a gift and we were honored that he shared it with us on that day. You're all in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
Love, Lisa, John and Gina

very sorry to here of Rick's passing. My deepest condolences to Ida, Jo and his children. I met Rick when I was 6, and was a friend through grammer and high school with Rick. I will remember riding bikes, playing sand lot ball, jammed in his GTO senior year, Hello Dolly and drinking parties. He always had a smile, a good word and a good heart.

I am so saddened by this news. I just found out and it is September. I worked for Richard for about a year and have to say he was probably the sweetest man I have worked for. So thoughtful and caring and shared my love for music and broadway. He was a gentle soul and will be missed.

I had come to know Rick back in 2003 during a production of THe Scarlet Pimpernel and since, had come to count him as a good friend. I was saddenned to hear of his death and wish that I had heard in time to come and pay my respects. Rich was a shining light among attorneys, and I will miss him terribly. It was always a pleasure to run into Rich at Court or at a legal event after hours because I knew it would always cheer me up after we spoke. He was not stuffy or overly formal and I will always think of him when the legal businees becomes tiring and humorless, because his humor was always a beacon in an often sea of staid lawyerdom. He will be deeply missed by me and others who were fortunate enough to make his acquaintance, no matter how brief.

Dear Jo, Nick, Jamie and Steven:
Dave,Jimmy, Nick and I are so very sorry for your loss. Being Rick's secretary for 13 years brought our families close and we shared so much. We watched each others children grow from little kids to teenagers to young adults. Rick was a wonderful father, a fine attorney and a genuinely kind and generous man. The love he had for all of you was evident in everything he did. He was so proud of his children. I can still see the pride in his face as he gazed up at the stage at you, Jamie, as you sang "I Could Have Danced All Night". Theater and his famiy were his greatest joys in life. Losing Rick will be a sadness felt by his family, his friends and his community for a long time. We love you guys and share your loss.
