I remember Pearl from when she worked at the Berlin PO when I was in high school. I visited the PO almost every day because I had a crush on her co-worker, Jean Knoll. The last time I had contact with her was when I was Principal of Edgewood Junior High school in the early '70's. My sincere condolences to her family.

She will be a tough act to follow, but in the time that I have spent with her, a lot has rubbed off. I will do my best to carry on in the way that she would have wanted. Now it's very quiet around here and I know that I will miss her more and more.

Aunt Pearl, I can't tell you how much you will be missed. Your wit and humor certainly has kept the family going. I have saved all your letters to me over the past few years. They are truly you with bits and pieces of your growing up on the farm and dealing with the Wades part of the family I thank you again for allowing me to stay at your home in the summers of the early 1950s so I could pick strawberries and earn a few dollars. I am sure you are now in a better place where there is no pain and you and Uncle Edward are now together again along with my Mom and Dad (Pearl WadeReed and George Reed). What a great time you are having. I am sorry that we will not be able to get to NJ for the services but we wish your family the best and our thoughts and prayers go with you.
