Genny,
I was very sorry to hear of your mom's passing. Joan was a very pleasant person to work with at Ancora. She always shared updates on you and how you were doing whenever I saw her at work. She was very proud of you! She was always there for the Ancora patients and will be truly missed.

The message below came from a NJ Partners' officer, Kathy Fiery. I emailed her on Monday, March 31, and she replied within an hour. Not sure that she would have had time to sign Wooster's guest book, however. On behalf of her organization, Kathy was helping to host a symposium held April 1-3 in Atlantic City.

Thank you for sharing the sad news, Carol. Joan was one of the kindest and most generous souls I ever met. May she rest in peace.

I've known Joan for many years through VBC. She was one of the sweetest and kindest people I have ever met. She holds a special place in my heart and I will fondly cherish my memories of her.

I knew Joan from her work at Ancora Hospital, and I'm sorry to learn of her passing. Joan was the go-to staff person in the Camden/Gloucester portion of the hospital, and I found her to always be helpful, kind, and considerate of others. She helped a great many people in need. Rest with the Lord, Joan.

I will miss Joan very much - As we grew up together, we had different out looks on life. When we did grow up we usually lived thousands of miles apart; yet we kept in touch through the years. I will not be able to send her any more silly birthday cards.

I'm so sorry I wasn't there to say goodbye Joan... you were the nicest stranger I ever met. And then almost overnight one of my best and trusted friends. We met in Hammonton NJ at church one day shortly before I left to spend 7 long years in New Hampshire. Joan visited me each of those hard years and every year I have been in Florida... she was always there for me with Gods Word and wisdom through phone calls letters & visits - seemed like there was no question she couldn't answer...and then she became friends with my mom and dad too! - I am going to miss you Joan. Very much. A very successful single mom and a very good master degreed social worker she spent her life giving to others. RIP Joan. Although like everyone I too am hurting very bad now about loosing you there's no doubt in my mind you're in heaven... no more worldly worries you're now in a place of unfulfilled dreams so wonderful our earthly minds can not process it. Goodbye for now good friend.
