Alethia was a loving and stable friend to me during my unstable childhood. The favorite times in my life are my dance memories. The joy of music and movement she gave me has never left my spirit. I'll always be grateful for her caring soul ❤

Mrs. Vanaman was my ballet teacher in the early 1980s...I was around 7 and 8 years old. I have such wonderful memories of ballet class...climbing the stairs to get to her 2nd floor studio! I was very sad to hear of her passing. My condolences to the family...may Mrs. Vanaman rest in peace.

Mrs. Vanaman was such a beautiful soul and has made such an impact on so many lives. Attending her dance classes was a cherished part of my childhood and I look back on those times with the best memories. Mrs. Vanaman taught us all so many things and she did it in such a way that you could see the passion behind it and it made you want to be the best you could. My heart goes out to her family, friends, past and present students. She was a wonderful woman who led a long life. She did what she loved and she inspired that love in others. She will be missed, dearly.

Thoughts of Mrs. Vanaman frequently are a topic of conversation when our family shares memories about our experiences when we lived in Atco. Mrs. Vanaman gave so many girls years of positive experiences that led to the development of creative and confident individuals. Her generosity, patience and tremendous teaching resulted in girls loving the art of dance and enjoying the recitals that we continue to watch on video tapes. Mrs. Vanaman was a respected and loved teacher who represented the best qualities. Our family would like to extend our condolences and words of appreciation for the time taken from family members so that others could be share in the opportunity to be with Mrs. Vanaman.

Mrs. Vanaman was such a beautiful and talented lady. She was the most patient person I ever met and she always had such a kind and giving nature. I was her student for 12 years and daughter Grace was her student for 8 years until she stopped teaching. We have so many wonderful memories of her classes and recitals. We will always look back with such loving fondness on Mrs. Vanaman. She was so much more than our teacher. She was someone who cared about you as though she was your own grandmother. God bless you, Mrs. Vanaman. We hope that you knew what you meant to us.

I was so sorry to here of Mrs. Vanaman's passing. She was my dance teacher in the 1970s. She was a great lady and I really missed when I had to stop taking lessons. I am 47 now and can still remember some of the routines she taught me to Bad, Bad Leroy Brown by Jim Croce and The Entertainer by Marvin Hamlisch. I remember my experiences at her dance class so vividly. She truly made an impact on my life. I bet she is dancing in Heaven right now, with my mom and dad there to greet her.
