Obituary of Salvatore A. Tronco

Salvatore A. Tronco, 86, of Hammonton passed away on December 8, 2014. Previously married to ex-wife, Regina who is the mother of his 10 children. He is the beloved father of Michael (Jeanine) Tronco of Atco, Kathleen Burke of Stratford, Thomas Tronco of Browns Mills, Patricia (Carl) Truscott of Fairfax, Va, Stephen (April) Tronco of Medford, Susanne (Art) Jones of Haddon Heights, Nancy (Bob) VanFossen of Marlton, Nicholas (Gael) Tronco of Williamstown, Barbara (Richard) Fowler of Pemberton and John Tronco of Lumberton. Brother to Rita Cipressi and uncle to June Cipressi and Richard Cipressi. Loving grandfather to 14 grandchildren, Michael-Lin, Taylor, Cole, Nicole Rose, Kate, Justin, Ryan, Toni, Matthew, Rebecca, Zach, Timothy, Samuel, Shasta and great grandfather of 5 to Hazel, Owen, Dominic, Gus and Sophia. Sal grew up in Audubon, NJ. He attended Audubon H.S where he played football. Sal continued his education at Glassboro State College also playing football there and earning a BA in Education. Sal completed his education at Rutgers University where he earned a Masters Degree in Education. Salvatore was an educator his entire life, first as a teacher, then principal and superintendent of Tabernacle Twp. Schools in Tabernacle, NJ and finally working for the State Dept. of Education in Trenton. His productive career lasted over 38 years. After retirement Sal enjoyed following the Eagles, Phillies and 76ers. He loved going to the movies and became our family "movie critic." He also enjoyed horse racing and frequently visited the old Garden State Park where he first worked selling programs as a teenager. But most importantly Sal loved his family. He helped all of us through hard times and was a loving father to his final day. Services and interment were held privately at the request of the family.
