Phil was one of the earliest friends I can remember. I've known him since I was nine, we took swimming lessons together at the Y. Then the Parkers moved to Sherman St. and we became even closer. We rode bikes in the summer and shoveled neighbors walks in the winter. Wimple would have to drive us around before we got our licenses. The Parkers took me to their summer home at the Jersey shore once where I met their neighbor Herb Adderly. He showed us his Super Bowl ring, wow! We drifted apart after college, we both got married and had children. I hired Phil to represent me during the purchase of our home in 1997. It was like old times, same old Phil. Then we drifted again like friends often do when you're bound by the daily activities of family.
Phil was a leader never a follower. Firm in his conviction, always with a chuckle.
My condolences to his entire family, God bless you.

Dearest Yvette, George, Jason and family,
Our deepest sympathy for the terrible loss of Phil! Both Al and I were honored to have met him several times and it was clear what a wonderful and engaging person he was! His musical talent was also extraordinary as well as his outgoing personality and kindness which were evident as soon as anyone met him.
Our thoughts are with you during this difficult time and we extend our best wishes and prayers for the future.

Dear Loved Ones of Phil:
I loved Phil like a brother. I cannot believe he is gone. One thing about Phil is that he lived life to the fullest. He made his own path. I am sure that he did not regret a moment of his life and he got everything out of life that anyone could. I will miss him dearly. I am comforted by the fact that one day I will see him in heaven.
Please accept my condolences,
Harold Grodberg
