You gave me my first pixie haircut. I can still remember being hoisted in your magical barber chair, you with your scissors flying. The fingers you list in the war didn't hinder your skills. Nor did you ever mention or complain about your injuries. You gave my dad his last haircut, coming to his side with kindness in his last hours. You allowed me the joy of riding your ponies and climbing through your barns. You stood by my mother in her last years spending countless hours sitting in hospital rooms and opening your home to her. You were the best uncle a girl could ask for. Now you are off to the races! Love and miss you Unc! XO
