Obituary of Michael R. Murphy

After a prestigious 12 year career in aviation, Michael R. Murphy, age 37, of Franklinville New Jersey, tragically passed on May 25, 2017 doing what he loved. Michael is survived by his loving wife Erika. He is the father of their two year old son Jamey Michael and soon to be baby boy. Mike is survived by his parents, Michael and Janet Murphy of Cedar Brook New Jersey, his loving sister Megan and brother-in -law Guy Collins Jr. and their two children, Kinley and Cole, and Great Aunt Margaret Porter. Also survived by his mother and father-in-law Roger and Margaret Bialy of Shamong New Jersey, brother-in-law Matthew Bialy (Katie) and children Raif and Campbell, brother-in-law Luke Bialy (Sarah) and their three sons Ian, Jack, and Nathan, and sister-in-law Jill Bialy. Mike was a man of many words. There was never a dull moment when you were in his presence. He had an infectious personality that would light up a room. Mike had a unique way of showing that he cared by complimenting and insulting you at the same time. He loved his family, flying, trucks, the beach, chocolate, peanut butter, and making people laugh. Mike is now at peace with his beloved boxer, Harley. Family and friends are invited to the visitation which will be held on Friday, 9:00am to 12:00pm at Christ the Redeemer Parish/Assumption Church, 318 Carl Hasselhan Dr., Atco, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00pm. Interment will be private at a later date. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Murphy children's college fund.
