Obituary of George H. Durar
George H. Durar, 3rd, age 65 of Atco, NJ passed away at home on Thursday July 27, 2017.
Beloved husband of Nancy (nee Imperato). Loving father of Allison Tippin and Brian Durar. Proud grandfather of Kayleigh. He is also survived and will be sadly missed by his brother Brandon Durar, sister Deana Young, as well as several nieces and nephews. George is predeceased by his parents Jean and George Durar, Jr. and his sister Daralyn Runge.
George was born in Bronx, NY and had resided in Atco, NJ since 1979. He worked for Camden City Fire Department, reaching the rank of Captain, before retiring in 2000 after 25 years of service. Known as “Fireman George,” he was involved in several South Jersey pool leagues for many years. He was a member of Gibbsboro American Legion Post 371. George was also an avid racing fan, enjoying all types of auto racing.
