Anton Kapij

Obituary of Anton Kapij

Love is patient, love is kind, Love is humble, Love is Stubborn. Love is Anton M. "Tony" Kapij who's sun had set on his beach's horizon at the age of 59 on Wednesday December 29, 2010. Tony was born in Waterford Twp. & had spent his life there until he moved to Galloway 15 years ago. He graduated in 1989 from Drexel University with a Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering. Tony worked as a civil engineer for Adams Raymond & Hagan in Hammonton for over 20 years but enjoyed spending most of his time outdoors. The martial arts were a large part of his life and he had held a 3rd dan black belt. He will fondly be remembered as a quiet but brilliant man who enjoyed the Sunday newspaper crossword puzzles and watchin' the days slip away from his favorite chair on the Brigantine beach with his cold beer and grapes. Tony is survived by his children Antin "Tosh" and Lisa Marie Kapij. He is the proud grandfather of Alexis and the brother of Vera Kapij, Daria Kupczyn & Donna Wood. He is also survived and will be sadly missed by his partner, to whom he was everything Bon-Bon Letizia. Relatives and friends are invited to Tony's visitation on Sunday afternoon from 1:30 to 2:30 pm at the LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home 441 White Horse Pike, Atco where a funeral ceremony will be celebrated at 2:30 pm, Fr. Ross Romanyuk, celebrating. Inurnment will be held privately. As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society 1851 Old Cuthbert Rd. Cherry Hill NJ 08034.
