My heart sank when I heard. Don was one of the sweetest men I have had the pleasure of knowing. I will remember him as a compassionate, caring, loving friend. He was always a voice for reason, never spoke an ill word, and loved to serve others. He and others at the Elks Lodge helped me grow as a person. It has been a pleasure to be a part of his family! Rest in peace, brother.

Sir,
You do not know me at all. But I have the honor to work with your daughter, Cathy. I can see a piece of you. I know that you are in her heart. She is a beautiful daughter and you should be proud. You did good Dad. You did good. We need you to guide us, the one's left here on this earth, to help us heal. We know in our hearts we will see you again, but it is hard for the time between. Please guide over your family.
God Bless

Daddy I know you are in a better place because I believe God has guided you, I know you are at peace and free of pain. But the pain we feel here is so real, you are so missed I cant believe I will not be able to physically talk to you or see your goofiness, your smile and telling me everything will be ok. This is so hard to accept we are sad sad sad! Now you have to accept a new role in our lives we all need you as our guardian angel. Please always watch over us and help us get thru grieving.
Forever in our hearts. We will watch out for each other and especially Mom and know you are always welcome in my home anytime to visit!
Be good in Heaven.....
Love You!

As a very young man I was blessed to be introduced to a beautiful human being and professional who showed me respect that I had yet to earn, as a person and as a young professional myself. Although we would only meet once a year for the next 36 years (tax time....hooray!), I got to know the soul of a man who always cared about my family, others, and me. I also got to know his great wife and family (his legacy), who have all been a blessing in my family's life.
God Bless you Big Daddy. You are at the big dance now!
Your friend,
Big Daddy, Jim Capanna and Family

Uncle Don, you will be sorely missed! We will always remember your laughing eyes and beautiful smile. Not having your silly sense of humor and quick wit will leave an absence at family gatherings . . . and who will my Dad have to be goofy with?! In a day and age when divorce seems to be commonplace, your example to us of a Godly marriage was a blessing. You and Aunt Sallie were so special together – thank you both for that pattern to follow. Heaven must be a beautiful place – no more tears and no more pain. Yet here on earth, we will greatly miss you.
