Obituary of Donald L. Joyce

Friendship, Love and Loyalty are symbolized by the Irish claddagh. Add a wee bit of blarney and you have a loving husband, fabulous father, great pop-pop, brother, uncle & friend. Suddenly, on January 15, 2011, at 76 years young, the pipes had called Donald L. Joyce, Sr. home where Irish angels gather 'round, with heavenly joy, and love abound. Mr. Joyce was born in Camden and had been a longtime Atco resident. He had volunteered to faithfully serve his country in Korea in the U.S. Army. Don had been a longtime member of the Marlton Elks Lodge #2514 and parishioner of Assumption Church in Atco. Mr. Joyce was a licensed public accountant and had worked alongside his son at Donald L. Joyce, Jr., CPA, PA in Berlin. Mr. Joyce is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years Sallie (nee O'Donnell) Joyce of Atco. Don is the loving father of Lisa of Mt. Laurel, Donald, Jr. & his wife Susan, Catherine & her husband Richard and Patti, all of Atco. He is the loving pop-pop of Emily, Andrew, Nick, Kelsey, Taylor, Caitlin and Ryan all of Atco. Don is also survived and will be sadly missed by his brother Stanley & his wife Elaine, William & his wife Betty and was pre-deceased by his sister Barbara Rudd. Ceade' Mil Failte (a 100,000 welcomes) to Don's visitation on Saturday afternoon from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home 441 White Horse Pike, Atco where a memorial ceremony will be celebrated at 3:00 pm. Inurnment will be held privately.
