I will always remember the laughter, the jokes, the stories he told of mischievievous youth. The chickens story, and bear story are infamous and will forever make me laugh. The eagle eye for trash picking which netted everyone some cool stuff. These memories I will treasure and hold dear as keepsakes in my heart. Rest in peace Uncle Bert. Love you. Will miss you. Reuntied forever with Aunt Loretta.

Uncle Bert will be missed very much by his family and friends. He was the kind of person that would do anything for you. He could make you laugh so hard you had tears. The chicken and the bear story just to name two. May you rest in peace. I know you are with Aunt Loretta. The love of your life. I can picture you both smiling and hugging each other.

First time I ever met you was in Maryland you gave me such a big hug..you and Giles talked for hours about the good old days together..the four of us walking in the pines with the dog..sound of the wind through those pines, the peace and comfort of being with family..the connection...the many unspoken thoughts...just being together knowing that you loved and accepted me as part of the family.. our talks on the phone.. your smile of peace at the end you were home... Scott holding your hand as we said Good bye...such peace...you just went to sleep...

You were an older brother to me but I know we never could have enough hours together. I am so happy you are with Loretta and Jenny now. I wish you did not have to go because time has just gone to quickly. Our memories growing up as kids are not always in my memory but the good ones I will never forget. I will miss you in my life but you will always be in my prayers and heart as my big brother. Love and prayers Maria! Your little sister!
