Obituary of Elizabeth L. Wilson

Elizabeth L. Wilson, lifelong resident of Staten Island, NY age 90yrs passed away on December 28, 2011 at her daughters' home in Atco, NJ. Betty and her late husband Buster owned and operated "Bettebus Bulldogs" where the couple bred and showed multiple Champions in dog shows across the country. She was a Board Member of the New Jersey Bull Dog Club, the Staten Island Kennel Club, the Union County Bull Dog Club of New Jersey and the Eastern Bull Dog Club of North America. Also a member of the Long Island Bulldog Club. Youthful in mind and spirit, she loved to read, solve puzzles and play video games. Her love and knowledge of baseball, in particular of the Yankees, was impressive. She was able to hold her own amongst men when discussing the team and was never far from the television when the game was on. Betty was very proud of her Italian heritage and she showed it through her cooking and her devotion to her family. Betty is the wife of the late Buster Wilson. She is survived by her daughters, Beverly DeMasi (Vincent), Rose Ann Caggiano (the late Richard), Patricia Cusumano (the late Salvatore) and Linda Van Name (David). Grandmother of Michael (Vera) DeMasi, Stephanie DeMasi, Buster (Nicole) Caggiano, Christine (John) Angel, Sandra (Michael) Schembri, Jaclyn Caggiano, Francine (Salvatore) Zito, Salvatore Cusumano, Jr., Victoria Cusumano, Danielle Van Name and Stephanie Van Name. Great Grandmother of Sean, Dominick, Michael and Sofia Caggiano, Matteo and Arianna Angel, John Joseph Schembri, Amanda and Salvatore Zito, Jr. and Vincent Bashant. She is also pre deceased by 10 brothers and sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 5, 2012 1:00pm at the Chapel at the Cemetery of the Resurrection, 361 Sharrott Ave., Staten Island, NY. Interment will follow.
