Obituary of Edwin Lewis Yeckley
Edwin L. Yeckley, 73, of Beverly, passed away on Saturday, July 6th. Born in 1945 to the late Lewis and Clara Yeckley in Spangler, PA. He was a biology and earth science teacher at Cardinal Dougherty High School for 38 years.
Edwin was a caring, generous, and funny man. He was always ready to sit and chat, share a story, or tell a joke. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and gardening. He was an avid collector of unique plants and insects. He always looked forward to trips to Camp Fireside to spend time with family and his fishing trips to Canada with his good friend Paul Finocchio.
He is predeceased by his loving wife of 41 years, Patricia Yeckley, sister Joyce Mondi, and sister-in-law Marcia Yeckley.
He is survived by daughter, Jennifer Deering (nee Yeckley) and husband Robert; son, Timothy Yeckley and wife Mandie; grandsons, Chase Deering and Lewis Yeckley; siblings, Clara Fitzpatrick (Robert), Rose Subich (Nick), Don Yeckley (Carol), Mike Mondi, Dale Yeckley (Leila), and Bruce Yeckley; nieces and nephews, Bob, Craig, Brian, Jason, Michelle, Lisa, Heather, Nathan, Michael, Mary, and John; and many great nieces and nephews.
