Ezra and I were classmates in the Philadelphia grade schools in the late 40's and early 50's. Whenever we formed academic teams, I wanted him on our side. After 8th grade he went to the neighborhood Northeast High School and I went on to Central. We,unfortunately, lost track of each other. Of all the students in those early classrooms, Ezra stood out as one of the few that I remember. It was with regret that I saw his name listed in the obituaries. May his memory live on.
