Obituary of Ezra C. Mitten
Pray to music, build a shrine and fill your heart with every note because God is in the clef and tone. Salvation is found alone and Music will set you free. On Thursday September 20, 2012 Heaven had lit a way for Ezra C. Mitten, III and he was set free from his home in Liesuretown at the age of 75. Ezra, your heart has brought great joy to many and those hearts can never forget you, just one more song, a little something to remind us, now that you're gone.
Ezra was born in the "City of Brotherly Love" and spent his early years there. He was a graduate of Northeast High School, Class of 1955 and had worked as an Insurance Manager for GMAC Mortgage in Philadelphia for 32 years before retiring in 1987. Ezra had been a lifelong musician and was an accomplished pianist. He had been a longtime organ musician, choir member and a congregant of the Methodist Church. Ezra will fondly be remembered as a faithful, caring, loving and kind son, brother, uncle and friend.
God bless the members of my family, keep them safe. Help us to live together in harmony and joy. Help us to be aware of your presence and to be the bearers of your love to one another. Ezra is the son of the late Ezra C. & Mary (nee Quigley) Mitten, Jr. He is the brother of Ethel & her husband Jack Graman and the late Mary Smith and her husband Royce. He is also survived and will be sadly missed by his nieces Lois & her husband George Shirley, Lynne Graman and his nephew John & his wife Daena Graman.
It's so hard to say goodbye. Funeral services & inurnment will be held privately. Take my memories to be the sunshine after the rain. As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Little Baby Face Foundation 135 E. 74th St. New York, NY 10021 www.littlebabyface.org
