Obituary of Charles Patrick Goins

Charles Patrick Goins, Jr. age 65yrs passed away on November 8, 2013 at the AtlanticCare Regional Medical Center, Atlantic City Division with his family by his side. Born in Atco, NJ, he resided in Hammonton, NJ. He is survived by his children, Kristopher (Casey) and Stephanie, his sisters, Jeanne (Greg) Lindsay, Dorothy (Matthew) Maradeo, Agnes (James) Massara, Catherine (Frank) Brigandi and many loving nieces and nephews along with many extended family members and dear friends. Charlie enlisted in the US Marine Corps in 1968 and served his country as a Lance Corporal in the First Marine Division in Vietnam. He was involved in near constant combat. He was twice wounded, receiving two Purple Hearts. Charlie was also awarded the Navy Achievement Award for leadership and gallantry in the face of heavy enemy fire. He is a member of the Sgt. Ron Wright VFW Post 303, Winslow Twp., NJ. He retired from a career with the Naval Air Engineering Center in Phila. and Lakehurst, NJ where he received several outstanding performance ratings as a machinist and production controller. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 7:00 to 9:00pm and again on Wednesday morning 8:30am to 9:30am at the LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike in Atco. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am at the Christ The Redeemer Parish/Assumption Church, 318 Carl Hasselhan Dr., Atco, NJ. Interment with Military Honors will follow at the Atco Cemetery, Atco, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Sgt.
