Walter will be surely be missed. My sons and I have been going to the store since we moved to Waterford 30 years ago. Walt's personality and salesmanship were one of a kind !
A visit to the shop for a box of shells always took a half hour. 1 minute to buy the shells and 29 minutes to shoot the breeze with Walt and Rose about everything under the sun.
He was a legend. May he rest in peace.

Rose, Walt and Bobby, so sorry to hear of Walter's passing. You will be in our thoughts and prayer, during this time.
We have fond memories of going into the store from being little kids to buy our sneakers and telling Walter to put them on our dad's bill....to not to long ago to visit and just talk.
I'm sure he will be missed by all that came through your front doors, Atco was lucky to have him!

Atco has lost another icon. I remember him and my dad sitting in the Legion Post over the years and getting into debate after debate. I know he will be missed in town, but especially by his family. I am so sorry for your loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

heading into the store with my dad for fishing stuff as a child and sitting for what seemed like hours while they bullshitted and then doing the same with my 4 kids. a month ago we walked in the store for worms and he yelled at my 5 yr old do you have the money! the kids always loved how he yelled, and loud was just nice to the kids. Walt will be missed. you were one of a kind. rest in peace sir.
